The San Juan de Dios Regional Hospital of Tarija (HRSJDT) with the support of Ipas Bolivia inaugurated the first sexual and reproductive health teleconsultation service in Tarija, Bolivia, on Tuesday, 7 December. This is a commitment to the full exercise of sexual and reproductive rights that will allow all users enrolled in the Unified Health System (SUS) to access safe and free care.

This service provides Tarija women with attention to contraception, sexually transmitted infections, menstrual disorders, genital flow, pelvic pain, breast pain, sexual violence and cervical cancer prevention, in order to guarantee the exercise of their Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SRR) wherever they are.

Patients can access the service by accessing the Facebook page "Teleconsulta en ginecología del Hospital San Juan de Dios de Tarija", once there they can request a reservation on the day and time that suits them. Staff from the Regional Hospital San Juan de Dios de Tarija will contact each of them via Messenger requesting a photo of their ID card to make their appointment and confirm that they are insured in the SUS, finally they are sent a link to ZOOM so they can connect to their appointment.
