On August 20, the Mesa de Maternidad y Nacimiento Seguros (MMNS), made up of more than 15 international, state and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), including Ipas Bolivia, donated 2,000 contraceptive kits to the Departmental Health Service (Sedes) of La Paz to prevent unplanned pregnancies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The delivery was made directly to Dr. Ramiro Narváez, director of Sedes de La Paz. Each kit is composed of condoms, contraceptive pills and information material, including a postcard with referential data of medical care centers in cases of pregnancy and sexual violence. It is planned that they will be delivered to the population free of charge, at the time of the mass crawl, convened by the G.A.M.L.P.
