Ipas Bolivia donated technology equipment to Ministry of Health for National Telehealth Program

On Friday, August 21, IpasBolivia, represented by Dr. Susana Asport and Dr. Henry Flores, donated conference systems, computer equipment, webcams and LED televisions to the Ministry of Health to strengthen the capacity of the National Telehealth Program to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

This program is aimed at improving health care for the most remote areas of the cities. Doctors can work in long-distance consultations with people who do not have the financial capacity to go to a hospital in the cities.

This donation was made thanks to the Interinstitutional Agreement for the Implementation of National Health Policies, of which Ipas Bolivia and the National Telehealth Program are part. This agreement contributes to increasing the population's health-care capacity and also to training professionals in information technology (ICT).

"On behalf of the Ministry of Health, we thank Ipas-Bolivia for this report, which will contribute to the telehealth work through which we also seek to raise the population's awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic," emphasized the Vice Minister of Promotion, Epidemiological Surveillance and Traditional and Intercultural Medicine, Dr. Óscar Landívarde.
