Sexual and reproductive rights are human rights that all women and men have, by the simple fact of being persons, that is, they are inherent to human beings; they determine their lives and identities, their state of health and the degree of individual and social well-being; they cannot be taken away or given up and therefore no one can renounce them; they correspond to everyone equally regardless of social sector, economic level, sex, age, cultural condition, etc. Human rights are recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and several other international treaties and conventions ratified by Bolivia. The Political Constitution of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (CPE) incorporates, for the first time in the country's history, more than 30 articles related to equality, equity and non-discrimination.
